You all remember when I looked liked this?

I had just finished spinning this....
Spin Challenge #5 Healthy Cell Yarn

I got it off to Linda at the Yarn Museum and decided to take a nap after a long night of stomach flu like symptoms. My mom had Tejah and I crashed out for almost 4 hours.....then at 4:20pm I felt a warm rush and so there went my water.
Hopped into the shower, Kristian came home, no contractions but was on the way to the hospital just b/c when my labor does start it goes FAST.

Here we are, notice I am still smiling..... I had just done 6 laps up and down the stairs to get the labor moving since my doula was there waiting with us. It was 9:30pm and still nothing so she went home and once I didn't have a show to put on things moved rapidly. Sylvia came back and by 10:45pm I was in the throws of some awesome mind-blowing, cuss your mama out contractions. I did it au natural again, no drugs...but I was screaming for them at the end.... I don't know any woman who hasn't asked for something to stop the pain~ it is crazy!

3 hours later at 1:45am 2-9-08, Ebel Warren Echenique was born in 4 pushes.... all 9 pounds and 23 inches of him!
He was exactly 37 weeks 6 days.

Tejah meeting his baby brother and being really happy to see mom.
We left later that same day to go home.... I really dislike hospitals.
I think I like him mom!

Here he is in his cloth diaper and woolies I knit for him (sprayed w/ lavender lanolin they keep him dry and breathable.) I hand dyed the wool for these pants a while back and made a matching hat with a lace brocade trim...not shown. Can you believe he is only 3 days old in this pic? Can you believe I pushed this out of my body? I still can't. I do have a bunch of stitches to prove that I did though!

Thanks everyone for listening to my baby story and I have finally gotten to check out all the entries for the Circlin of the Wagons challenge. What a great turnout of gorgeous yarns!

Ebel is doing great and is nursing like a champ....my first was not this hungry....it is hard to be born at 9 lbs, you have an appetite!
