Turning to photography as a creative outlet during a valiant fight with breast cancer at age 34, [info]renaissance10 survived and set up a photo contest to help raise funds for the Lavender Trust, a nonprofit that provides information and support to younger women with breast cancer. In the first two years, the competition brought in over £65,000 (that's $107,260.73 U.S.!), with entries from 130 countries last year. Renaissance10 recently joined LiveJournal to meet other passionate photographers and find supportive friends.

This single treadle Louet spinning wheel is designed with the budget conscious spinner in mind. Smooth ball bearing operation like all the other Louet spinning wheels, easy treadling and a well balanced wheel that won't disappoint you. The Louet S17 is a great wheel for a value price. The Louet S17 kit comes complete with three bobbins and built-in lazy kate. Unfinished.

This kit normally sells retail for 400+, and you get stuck putting it together. MINE is already assembled and fully functional, and I will throw in a selection of great fibers to spin with! I have 4 oz each of Alpaca, angora, and several varieties of Ohio wool, from independent groups. I am moving overseas, otherwise I would take this with me, that is how much of an amazing wheel it is! Email to set up a time to see it!
